US Cash Grains-Farmer sales pressure soy basis bids at river terminals

CHICAGO, Nov 6 (Reuters) - Basis bids for U.S. soybeans remained under pressure at river terminals in the Midwest on Thursday after farmers increased sales this week, brokers said.

• Recent gains in prices encouraged some farmers to sell soy and corn for spot delivery and forward delivery, a broker said.

• At a river terminal near Davenport, Iowa, the soy basis fell by 10 cents per bushel and the corn basis dropped by 8 cents.

• The soy basis also eased by 5 cents at a river terminal in Morris, Illinois.

• Corn bids rose at some rail locations.

• Chicago Board of Trade soybean Sv1 and corn Cv1 futures finished weaker.GRA/
