US Cash Grains-Corn, soy basis bids flat to down at elevators, river terminals

CHICAGO, Nov 6 (Reuters) - Spot basis bids for U.S. corn and soybeans were flat to lower at Midwestern grain elevators and river terminals on Thursday following recent farmer selling, brokers said.

• Some farmers have made sales to take advantage of recent price rallies so that they can pay bills, a broker said.

• On Wednesday, soybean futures Sv1 reached their highest level since June 2024 on the Chicago Board of Trade. CBOT corn Cv1 last week set its highest price since July.

• Soy and corn futures eased on Thursday.GRA/

• The U.S. Department of Agriculture is collecting survey-based data for its upcoming crop production report scheduled for release on November 14, an official with the agency's statistical arm said, despite the ongoing U.S. government shutdown.
