CHICAGO, Oct 31 (Reuters) - Chicago Board of Trade wheat futures finished higher alongside soybeans on Friday, a day after U.S. officials announced a trade deal with China.
U.S. Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent said China agreed to buy 12 million metric tons of U.S. soybeans through January and 25 million tons annually for the next three years.
Washington and Beijing did not mention specific trade commitments for wheat and corn as part of the deal.
There was unconfirmed chatter in the market about China potentially pricing U.S. wheat, brokers said.
