US Cash Grains-Corn, soy bids higher amid light farmer selling

CHICAGO, Oct 30 (Reuters) - Corn and soy bids ticked higher in the U.S. Midwest on Thursday. There has been light farmer selling, though many are opting to store their crops instead of selling them, market sources said.

• The corn basis ticked higher at an elevator and two river terminals.

• The soy basis rose at two river terminals and fell at an elevator.

• U.S. soybean futures reached a 15-month high on Thursday after President Donald Trump's administration said top importer China agreed to buy tens of millions of metric tons of American crops in the next few years as part of a trade truce.

• Most-active soybean futures Sv1 ended up 13-1/4 cents at $11.07-3/4 a bushel on the Chicago Board of Trade.

• CBOT corn Cv1 fell 3-3/4 cents to $4.30-1/4 a bushel.
