Oct 29 (Reuters) - The United States will make an announcement after President Donald Trump's meeting with his Chinese counterpart Xi Jinping that will be a "resounding victory" for U.S. farmers, Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent said on Thursday.
"Today's announcement after his meeting with President Xi will be a resounding victory for our great farmers," Bessent said in a post on X.
Bessent said earlier this month that he anticipates China will revive substantial purchases of U.S. soybeans after buying none in September.
