US in contact with countries hit by Hurricane Melissa, Rubio says

Oct 29 (Reuters) - The United States is in contact with the governments of Jamaica, Haiti, Dominican Republican and the Bahamas, Secretary of State Marco Rubio said on Wednesday as Hurricane Melissa unleashed devastation across the Caribbean.
"We have rescue and response teams heading to affected areas along with critical lifesaving supplies," Rubio said in an X post.
