
LONDON, Oct 29 (Reuters) - Jamaica's government bonds tumbled on Wednesday US470160CA80=TE as investors sized up the likely clear-up cost of Hurricane Melissa, the strongest storm ever recorded on the Caribbean island.
The nation's 6.75% 2028 dollar-denominated bond fell 1.25 cents to 102.7 cents on the dollar US470160CA80=TE on Wednesday, while its 8% 2039 bond slid 2.34 cents to bid at 120.02 cents. US470160AV46=TE
The Category 5 hurricane had sustained winds of 185 mph (298 kph) when it barrelled into Jamaica.
