US Cash Grains-Soybean basis mixed, corn steady as futures bounce

CHICAGO, Oct 27 (Reuters) - Spot cash soybean basis bids were mixed while corn bids were steady on Monday as futures climbed.

• The soybean basis fell at an Ohio elevator and rose at an Iowa river terminal.

• U.S. Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent said on Sunday U.S. and Chinese officials have agreed on a framework trade deal and he anticipates China will revive substantial purchases of U.S. soybeans with trade talks in Malaysia this week.

• Traders hope a possible U.S.-China trade deal could restart the United States' massive soybean exports to China, which were brought to a virtual stop by the bilateral trade war.

• The corn and soybean harvests in the U.S. Midwest are wrapping up.

• Chicago Board of Trade most-active corn futures Cv1 were last up 6-3/4 cents at $4.30 per bushel as of midday.

• Most-active soybean futures Sv1 were up 30 cents to $10.72 a bushel.
