ReutersOct 23, 2025 4:24 PM

- Basis bids for hard red winter (HRW) wheat were flat in the U.S. Plains on Thursday as farmers focused on planting.

  • Selling was minimal.

  • Late-week rain is expected to aid wheat in the central & southeast U.S. Plains, but the southwest third of the winter wheat belt is still too dry, according to forecaster Commodity Weather Group.

  • K.C. December hard red winter wheat KWZ25 was last up 10-1/2 cents to $4.99 per bushel.
