US agencies look to expand cattle grazing on federal land

WASHINGTON, Oct 22 (Reuters) - The U.S. Departments of Agriculture and Interior plan to assess the viability of expanding cattle grazing on federal lands as part of a multi-agency plan to rebuild the domestic cattle herd, according to a plan issued by the USDA.

The USDA will also begin enforcing compliance with voluntary "Product of USA" labels on meat and poultry on January 1, 2026, the agency plan said.
