US Cash Grains-Corn and soy basis mostly flat to higher

CHICAGO, Oct 20 (Reuters) - Corn and soybean basis bids were mostly steady to higher at elevators, processors and ethanol plants in the U.S. Midwest on Monday as futures moved up, a spot check of locations showed.

• The corn basis rose at ethanol plants in Linden, Indiana and Council Bluffs, Indiana and an elevator in Cincinnati, Ohio. It fell at a processor in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.

• The soybean basis rose at a processor in Decatur, Illinois and the elevator in Cincinnati.

• On the Chicago Board of Trade, soybean futures rose on renewed optimism over U.S.-China trade talks after U.S. President Donald Trump said he believed Beijing would agree to a soybean trade deal and would buy U.S. soy again. GRA/

• Corn ticked up on concerns U.S. crop yields may not be as good as hoped, despite expectations of a record U.S. corn crop.
