
CHICAGO, Sept 25 (Reuters) - Chicago Board of Trade wheat futures ended higher on Thursday as the market rebounded from contract lows reached this week, traders said.
Short covering and bargain buying helped boost prices, they said.
Weekly U.S. wheat export sales were 539,800 metric tons for 2025-26, compared to analysts' estimates for 300,000 to 600,000 metric tons.
CBOT December soft red winter wheat WZ25 settled 7-1/2 cents higher at $5.27 per bushel. The most-active contract Wv1 set a one-week high.
K.C. December hard red winter wheat KWZ25 last traded 5-1/2 cents higher at $5.12-1/4 a bushel. Minneapolis December spring wheat MWEZ25 rose 5-1/4 cents to $5.73 a bushel.
Next week, the U.S. Department of Agriculture is slated to issue quarterly data on grain stocks and estimates for U.S. wheat output.
