LONDON, Sept 25 (Reuters) - Northwest European gasoline profit margins fell 40 cents a barrel on Thursday due to higher stockpiles of the motor fuel.
A total of 2,000 metric tons of Eurobob E5 barges were traded, with Sahara selling to Aramco.
E10 barges of a total of 19,000 tons traded, with Phillips 66 and Shell selling to Varo, Equinor and Exxon.
Russia will extend an existing ban on gasoline exports, Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak was quoted as saying on Thursday, following a spate of Ukrainian drone attacks on Russian refineries.
The gasoline ban covers producers as well as re-sellers, but does not affect inter-governmental agreements between Russia and a number of other countries, such as Mongolia.
However, gasoline stocks independently held in the Amsterdam-Rotterdam-Antwerp (ARA) refining and storage hub rose by 3% on the week, data from Dutch consultancy Insights Global showed on Thursday. ARA/
EU and UK gasoline exports reached 1.02 million barrels per day in September so far, according to Kpler data, higher than the 853,000 bpd exported in August overall.
