Trump says his administration will continue to talk to Democrats as government shutdown looms

WASHINGTON, Sept 19 (Reuters) - U.S. President Donald Trump said on Friday his administration would continue to talk to Democrats after the Senate rejected a short-term funding bill to keep federal agencies operating after September 30.
"We'll continue to talk to the Democrats, but I think you could very well end up with a closed country for a period of time," Trump told reporters in the Oval office.
