BUENOS AIRES, Sept 19 (Reuters) - Argentina has joined a U.S. program to roll out small-scale nuclear reactors for civil energy needs, making it the first nation in Latin America to come aboard, the two governments said on Friday.
Argentina will be a contributing partner to the Foundational Infrastructure for Responsible Use of Small Modular Reactor Technology, or FIRST, program, and will provide funding, expertise and other support to the program's initiatives.
