ReutersSep 17, 2025 7:28 PM

- Basis bids for hard red winter (HRW) wheat were steady to lower in a spot check of grain elevators in the southern U.S. Plains on Wednesday as futures dipped.

  • Wheat futures followed corn and soybean futures lower on the Chicago Board of Trade with rains in the southern U.S. Plains adding to bearish sentiment.

  • Moisture in the U.S. Plains remains mostly favorable for early winter wheat germination, according to Commodity Weather Group.

  • December hard red winter wheat KWZ25 ended down 7-1/4 cents at $5.16-1/4 a bushel.
