US Cash Grains-Corn, soybean basis bids mostly flat to higher

Sept 15 (Reuters) - Basis bids for corn and soybeans were mostly steady to higher at processors and ethanol plants in a spot check of locations around the U.S. Midwest on Monday.

• The soybean basis rose at a processor in Council Bluffs, Iowa.

• The corn basis rose at a processor in Cedar Rapids, Iowa and another in Blair, Nebraska.

• One exception was the corn basis at an ethanol plant in Linden, Indiana, where the basis fell.

• On the Chicago Board of Trade, corn and soybean futures fell after the U.S. Department of Agriculture forecast large harvests of both crops and traders worried about the prospect of future demand for soybeans from China.
