ReutersSep 15, 2025 1:20 PM

- The following are U.S. expectations for the resumption of grain and soy complex trading at the Chicago Board of Trade at 8:30 a.m. CDT (1330 GMT) on Monday.

WHEAT - Up 1 to 3 cents per bushel

  • CBOT wheat futures firmed as the U.S. dollar weakened on the possibility of a U.S. interest rate cut this week.

  • A weaker dollar tends to make U.S. exports cheaper and therefore more competitive on the global market.

  • CBOT December soft red winter wheat WZ25 was last up 1-1/4 cents at $5.24-3/4 per bushel. K.C. December hard red winter wheat KWZ25 last traded flat at $5.14-3/4 a bushel and Minneapolis December wheat MWEZ25 was last down 2 cents at $5.69-3/4 a bushel.

CORN - Down 4 to 5 cents per bushel

  • CBOT corn Cv1 futures ticked lower on forecasts of a record large U.S. harvest.

  • U.S. farmers will harvest a record corn crop this autumn, eclipsing the previous record set two years ago by nearly 1.5 billion bushels after gathering their largest acreage in 92 years, the U.S. Department of Agriculture said on Friday.

  • Brazil's center-south 2025/26 first corn crop is forecast at 25.48 million tons vs 24.73 million tons in the previous season, according to analyst Safras & Mercado.

  • CBOT December corn CZ25 last traded down 4-1/4 cents at $4.25-3/4 per bushel.

SOYBEANS - Down 1 to up 1 cent per bushel

  • CBOT soybean Sv1 futures traded near flat, pressured by expectations of a large harvest but supported by investor hopes over U.S. China trade talks in Madrid.

  • In a monthly crop report, the USDA put U.S. soybean production at 4.301 billion bushels, up from 4.292 billion bushels estimated a month earlier.

  • The USDA raised its U.S. soybean ending stocks forecast, after cutting its export projection to the lowest since the trade war with China.

  • A trade delegation from China is visiting Spain and holding talks with a U.S. delegation this week.

  • CBOT November soybeans SX25 were last up 1/2 cent at $10.46-3/4 per bushel.
