U.S. backs more pressure on Russia, says EU Energy Commissioner after meeting U.S. counterpart

Sept 11 (Reuters) - The United states agrees on the need to increase pressure on Russia, EU Energy Commissioner Dan Jorgensen said on Thursday after meeting with U.S. Energy Secretary Chris Wright.
He also said they hadn't discussed sanctions, adding that their proposed phase out of Russian energy is already ambitious and that they are now focused on getting that plan agreed on as fast as possible.
