Exporting Brazilian coffee to US via third countries not an option, industry says

SAO PAULO, Sept 9 (Reuters) - Re-exporting Brazilian coffee via third countries is not a strong alternative for getting past U.S. tariffs, Marcio Ferreira, president of Brazil's coffee exporters association, CECAFE, said on Tuesday.
U.S. President Donald Trump slapped a 50% levy on most Brazilian goods, including coffee, which came into effect on Aug. 6.
