Aug 27 (Reuters) - Grades broadly rose on Wednesday, dealers said, as domestic oil stocks fell, with WTI Midland bucking the wider upward trend.
U.S. crude stocks, gasoline, and distillate inventories fell last week as demand rose, the Energy Information Administration said on Wednesday.
Crude inventories fell by 2.4 million barrels to 418.3 million barrels in the week ended August 22, the EIA said, compared with analysts' expectations in a Reuters poll for a 1.9-million-barrel draw.
Meanwhile, BP's BP.L 440,000-barrel-per-day refinery in Whiting, Indiana, is back to operating at normal rates after taking multiple units offline due to a severe thunderstorm last week, industry monitor IIR said.
Operations at the Whiting refinery were affected due to flooding after a thunderstorm swept through the region.
Elsewhere, Mexico's 340,000 bpd Dos Bocas refinery has been offline since Monday due to a power outage at the plant, two sources familiar with the matter told Reuters.
