LONDON, Aug 19 (Reuters) - Northwest European gasoline profit margins rose 41 cents to $16.53 a barrel on Tuesday.
A total of 16,000 metric tons of Eurobob E5 barges traded in the session, with Gunvor, BP and Sahara Energy selling to Varo, Aramco and TotalEnergies.
An additional 3,000 tons total of Eurobob E10 barges traded with TotalEnergies selling to Varo.
China's exports of refined oil products in July rose 7.1% from last year, according to customs data, with gasoline exports rising 18.6%. From January to July, China exported 4.82 million tons of gasoline, down nearly 16% compared with the same period last year.
Indonesia plans to build a network of small modular refineries to process U.S. and domestic oil, aiming to reduce gasoline imports, but analysts warn the switch in strategy from large-scale refining facilities could prove uneconomical.
EU and UK gasoline and blending component exports to other regions averaged 699,000 bpd in August so far, compared to 997,000 bpd in July, Kpler data showed.
