Aug 19 (Reuters) - Erin has weakened to a Category 2 hurricane but is expected to grow larger as it moves over the western Atlantic through the week, the U.S. National Hurricane Center said on Tuesday.
The hurricane is about 720 miles (1,155 km) south-southeast of Cape Hatteras, North Carolina, with maximum sustained winds of 110 mph (175 kph), the Miami-based forecaster said.
