US Cash Grains-Corn, soybean bids steady to down at elevators, processors, river terminals

CHICAGO, Aug 14 (Reuters) - Basis bids for corn and soybeans were steady to down at elevators, processors and river terminals in a spot check of locations in the U.S. Midwest on Thursday as futures fell.

• The corn basis fell at a processor in Cedar Rapids, Iowa and a river terminal in Savanna, Illinois.

• The soybean basis fell at an elevator in Cincinnati, Ohio, a processor in Lafayette, Indiana, and at river terminals in Seneca, Illinois and Davenport, Iowa.

• Chicago soybean futures edged down on Thursday, consolidating after a six-week high fuelled by a lower-than-expected U.S. government harvest forecast released on Tuesday. GRA/

• Corn futures were dented by the USDA's bigger-than-expected U.S. corn crop outlook, with its record yield and huge shift in acreage from soybeans to corn.

• As of 12:16 p.m. CST (1716 GMT), CBOT November soybeans SX25 were down 14-3/4 cents at $10.29-1/2 a bushel.

• CBOT December corn CZ25 was down 1-1/4 cents at $3.96 a bushel.
