PARIS, Aug 7 (Reuters) - High water temperatures are expected to affect electricity production on the Rhone river in southern France from August 14, particularly at the 3.6 gigawatt (GW) Tricastin nuclear plant, nuclear operator EDF said in a notice on Thursday.
If confirmed, the production restrictions will be announced in a separate notice, the operator said.
The Tricastin nuclear plant is down river from the Bugey nuclear plant, which had a minor outage earlier this week due to high temperatures. August is a major holiday month in France and is typically a period of low electricity demand.
