CHICAGO, Aug 4 (Reuters) - Chicago Board of Trade corn futures fell to fresh contract lows on Monday as good U.S. Midwest crop weather reinforced expectations for a bumper harvest this autumn, traders said.
Mild and mostly dry weather is expected in the Midwest this week, followed by warmer, wetter conditions by the weekend, forecasters said.
The U.S. Department of Agriculture is due to update corn crop conditions later on Monday. Analysts polled by Reuters expect the agency to rate 72% of the U.S. crop in good-to-excellent condition as of Sunday, down 1 point from a week earlier.
A recent strong pace of U.S. corn export sales limited declines in futures, traders said.
The USDA said 1,207,642 metric tons of corn were inspected for export last week, in line with trade estimates. USDA/I
