PARIS, July 30 (Reuters) - French agricultural minister Annie Genevard told reporters on Wednesday that little information was available on EU-US trade talks but she had heard there could be a tariff exemption for spirits.
Genevard, speaking after a meeting at the economy ministry with sectors affected by the tariffs, added that it was not yet clear if there had been any exemption made for wine.
"I am limited to a level of information that is not far from yours - that is to say that we are told that in all likelihood there could be a zero-for-zero agreement for spirits, but for wines we know nothing," she said.
