CHICAGO, July 30 (Reuters) - The following are U.S. expectations for the resumption of grain and soy complex trading on Wednesday.
WHEAT - Down 3 to 5 cents per bushel
Wheat futures fell as harvests progressed but were supported by a large U.S. wheat purchase by Bangladesh.
Bangladesh signed a deal on Sunday to import 700,000 tons of wheat annually from the United States over the next five years, in a move aimed at securing tariff relief from the Trump administration amid growing trade tensions, officials said.
CBOT September soft red winter wheat WU25 was last down 3-3/4 cents at $5.26 per bushel. K.C. September hard red winter wheat KWU25 was last down 1-1/4 cents at $5.17-1/4 per bushel. Minneapolis September wheat MWEU25 was last down 1/4 cents at $5.77-1/4 a bushel.
CORN - Steady to down 1 cent per bushel
Corn futures ticked down, pressured by ongoing favorable weather in the U.S. Midwest corn belt.
Leading South Korean animal feed maker Nonghyup Feed Inc. (NOFI) bought an estimated 195,000 metric tons of animal feed corn in an international tender seeking up to 207,000 tons on Wednesday, European traders said.
Taiwan's MFIG purchasing group bought about 65,000 metric tons of animal feed corn, expected to be sourced from the United States in an international tender on Wednesday, European traders said.
Milder temperatures and periodic showers are expected to benefit Midwest corn, according to Commodity Weather Group.
CBOT December corn CU25 was steady at $4.11 per bushel.
SOYBEANS - Down 3 to 5 cents per bushel
Soybean futures fell on beneficial weather in the U.S. Midwest and sluggish demand.
In top soy buyer China, demand for soybeans is expected to remain subdued during the peak U.S. marketing season later this year. Record imports earlier in 2025 and soft demand from animal feed producers have led to a buildup in domestic soymeal inventories.
Cooler temperatures and occasional showers in the U.S. Midwest are expected to favor the nation's soy crop, according to Commodity Weather Group.
CBOT November soybeans SX25 were last down 3-1/2 cents at $10.06 per bushel.
