US Cash Crude-Grades mixed as domestic crude stocks fall, fuels rise

ReutersJul 16, 2025 8:45 PM

- Grades were mixed on Wednesday, dealers said, and investors digested official U.S. oil stock data, which showed a drop in crude inventories and rise in fuel stocks last week.

Crude stockpiles fell by 3.9 million barrels to 422.2 million barrels in the week ended July 11, the Energy Information Administration said, compared with analysts' expectations in a Reuters poll for a 552,000-barrel draw.

Meanwhile, gasoline stocks rose by 3.4 million barrels in the week to 232.9 million barrels, the EIA said, compared with expectations for a one million-barrel draw.

Elsewhere, drone attacks for a third day on oilfields in Iraq's semi-autonomous Kurdistan region have slashed crude output by 140,000 to 150,000 barrels per day, two energy officials said on Wednesday, as infrastructure damage forced multiple shutdowns.

The region's total production was around 285,000 bpd, Iraqi Kurdistan energy officials said.
