US Cash Grains-Corn basis bids mixed

CHICAGO, July 9 (Reuters) - Spot basis bids for corn were steady to mixed in a spot check of locations in the U.S. Midwest on Wednesday, as favorable growing weather continued in the region.

• The corn basis improved at an ethanol plant in Union City, Indiana, but ticked down at a processor in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.

• The soybean basis rose at a grain elevator in Cincinnati, Ohio.

• Corn futures recovered after good crop conditions pushed them to contract lows earlier in the session. Meanwhile soybeans weakened for a third session in a row amid uncertainty over U.S. tariff policy and trade prospects.

• Chicago Board of Trade December corn futures CZ25 settled up 1-1/4 cents to $4.15-1/2 per bushel. CBOT November soy futures SX25 dropped 10-1/4 cents to $10.07-1/4 per bushel.
