SANTIAGO, July 9 (Reuters) - Chile's President Gabriel Boric said on Wednesday that the country has yet to formally hear from the United States on potential copper tariffs, after U.S. President Donald Trump the day before said he planned to impose a 50% tariff on copper imports.
"We are waiting for the official communication from the United States government regarding what the policy will be—whether or not it includes copper cathodes, what the limits are, and whether this will actually be implemented or not," Boric told reporters, according to local media site Emol.
