CHICAGO, July 2 (Reuters) - Spot basis bids for soybeans were steady to lower while corn bids were steady to higher in the U.S. Midwest on Wednesday as farmers remained reluctant to sell amid low futures prices.
The soy basis ticked down at an Ohio elevator and an Indiana processor.
The corn basis ticked higher at an Illinois ethanol plant.
With a mix of showers and warm weather set to continue, traders currently see limited threats to corn crops as they approach the crucial pollination stage.
Expectations of ample supplies have also weighed on the soybean market, with prices hitting their lowest since April in the past week.
Chicago Board of Trade most-active corn futures rose 1-3/4 cents to $4.07-3/4 per bushel. CBOT most-active soy futures Sv1 rose 9-1/4 cents to $10.36 per bushel.
