Chaucer adds Aegis' Brand to Singapore energy team

July 1 - (The Insurer) - Chaucer has bolstered its energy offering in Singapore with the appointment of Emily Brand as deputy class underwriter.

Brand will report to Scott Ho, class underwriter, energy in Singapore.

In her new role, Brand will work with Ho and Charles Tan to support the underwriting strategy for Chaucer’s energy business, centred around expanding Chaucer’s reach in the Asia Pacific energy insurance market.

Brand joins Chaucer following eight years at Aegis, beginning as an underwriting assistant in the marine and energy market and later promoted to energy underwriter.

In May, Chaucer strengthened its energy capabilities with the appointment of Jordan Ray from the Fidelis Partnership to the newly created role of head of renewable energy and energy transition.
