CHICAGO, June 30 (Reuters) - Spot basis bids for corn were mixed in the U.S. Midwest on Monday while soybean bids were steady as industry players eyed weather patterns and crop conditions for the nascent corn and soybean crops.
Corn bids fell at an Illinois elevator and rose at an Illinois processor and an Iowa elevator.
Soybean bids were steady, spot checks showed.
CBOT August soybeans SQ25 settled down 3-1/2 cents at $10.29-3/4 a bushel, but the new-crop November contract SX25 ended up 2-1/4 cents at $10.27 a bushel.
The U.S. Department of Agriculture rated 73% of the nation's corn crop in good-to-excellent condition, up from 70% a week ago and above the average estimate from a Reuters poll of 11 analysts.
The USDA rated 66% of the nation's soybean crop in good-to-excellent condition, unchanged from the previous week and in line with expectations.
The rating is the best since 2018 at this point in the growing season, according to USDA data.
September corn CU25 finished down 2-1/4 cents at $4.09-1/4 a bushel
Chicago Board of Trade most-active corn futures fell 2-1/4 cents to $4.09-1/4 per bushel. CBOT most-active soy futures Sv1 rose 2-1/4 cents to $10.27 per bushel.
