Epic hires industry veteran Pierce as senior adviser for natural resources practice

June 26 - (The Insurer) - Epic Insurance Brokers & Consultants has hired marine and energy market veteran James Pierce as a senior adviser to support the strategic growth and development of its natural resources practice.
Pierce will help shape the strategic direction of Epic’s natural resources practice, working closely with leadership to expand capabilities, recruit top-tier talent and deliver solutions to clients across the energy sector.
He has more than 25 years of experience in the industry.
Before retiring as chairman of Marsh's global energy and power specialty practice in 2022, Pierce held roles at JLT Specialty and Aon.
"Jim has had a long, distinguished career building businesses in the energy insurance vertical. We look forward to working with him to establish Epic as a leading player in the energy space," said Philip Moyles, co-president of Epic.
Earlier in June, Epic announced that it had appointed Chris Keith as president for the Mid-Atlantic region, with the new hire joining the broker after almost 11 years at Lockton.
