Pennsylvania PUC to distribute over $164.5 million in natural gas impact fees

June 23 (Reuters) - The Pennsylvania Public Utilities Commission said on Monday it would distribute more than $164.5 million in natural gas impact fees collected from producers for the 2024 reporting year.

This year's distribution data has been submitted to the Pennsylvania Treasury, which is expected to begin issuing payments in early July to benefit counties, municipalities and state programs, it said.

The total impact fees collected and distributed since 2012 exceed $2.88 billion.

Of the 2024 total, $86.5 million will go directly to counties and municipalities with drilling activity, the PUC noted.
