Howden hires parametric experts Steiner and Anand from agriculture firm Syngenta

June 2 - (The Insurer) - Peter Steiner and Kanika Anand from agriculture firm Syngenta's weather and credit risk management team have joined Howden, they said in LinkedIn posts on Monday.
Steiner's job title at Howden will be executive director for agriculture and nature parametrics, while Anand becomes division director. Steiner was global head, and Anand global lead, of weather and credit risk management at Syngenta.
They led Syngenta's AgriClime offering, a suite of parametric covers bundled into other products such as seeds. Certain adverse weather triggers a cash payment or account credit.
Steiner previously co-founded parametric specialist firm CelsiusPro in 2008.
