
May 9 (Reuters) - Enbridge ENB.TO beat market estimates for first-quarter profit on Friday as the Canadian pipeline operator received a boost from higher earnings from its Mainline system and a rise in income from its gas distribution unit.
The company reported adjusted profit of C$1.03 per share for the quarter ended March 31, beating analysts' average expectation of 96 Canadian cents per share, according to data compiled by LSEG.
