
May 1 (Reuters) - U.S. cash crude grades were mixed on Thursday, dealers said, as investors weighed supply tightness and demand woes.
WTI Midland WTC-WTM eased 10 cents, while Mars Sour gained 20 cents.
U.S. President Donald Trump said all purchases of Iranian oil or petrochemical products must stop and any country or person buying any would be immediately subject to secondary sanctions.
Meanwhile, several OPEC+ members are set to suggest the group accelerate output hikes in June for a second consecutive month, three people familiar with OPEC+ talks have said. Eight OPEC+ countries will meet on Monday to decide a June output plan.
On the demand side, however, the U.S. economy contracted for the first time in three years in the first quarter, data showed on Wednesday, swamped by a flood of imports as businesses raced to avoid higher costs from tariffs and underscoring the disruptive impact of Trump's unpredictable trade policy.
Light Louisiana Sweet WTC-LLS for May delivery eased 15 cents at a midpoint of a $2.35 premium and was seen bid and offered between a $2.25 and $2.45 a barrel premium to U.S. crude futures CLc1
Mars Sour WTC-MRS firmed 20 cents at a midpoint of a $1.15 premium and was seen bid and offered between a $1 and $1.30 a barrel premium to U.S. crude futures CLc1
WTI Midland WTC-WTM eased 10 cents at a midpoint of a 75-cent premium and was seen bid and offered between a 50-cent and $1 a barrel premium to U.S. crude futures CLc1
West Texas Sour WTC-WTS eased 40 cents at a midpoint of a 15-cent discount and was seen bid and offered between a discount of 50 cents and a 20-cent a barrel premium to U.S. crude futures CLc1
WTI at East Houston WTC-MEH, also known as MEH, traded between an 80-cent and $1.20 a barrel premium to U.S. crude futures CLc1
ICE Brent July futures LCOc1 rose $1.07 to settle at $62.13 a barrel on Thursday.
WTI June crude CLc1 futures rose $1.03 to settle at $59.24 a barrel on Thursday .
The Brent/WTI spread WTCLc1-LCOc1 narrowed 1 cent to last trade at minus $3.43, after hitting a high of minus $3.37 and a low of minus $3.48.
