HOUSTON, April 24 (Reuters) - TotalEnergies TTEF.PA 238,000-barrel-per-day (bpd) Port Arthur, Texas, refinery returned to normal operation on Thursday, hours after losing steam supply earlier in the day, said people familiar with plant operations.
Heavy rain early on Thursday caused the refinery to lose internal and external steam supply for at least five hours, according to a notice filed with Texas pollution regulators. Refineries use steam to generate power as well as in the process of refining crude oil.
