US Plains HRW Wheat-Basis bids mostly unchanged on slow farmer sales

ReutersApr 22, 2025 8:33 PM

- Spot basis bids for hard red winter (HRW) wheat held mostly steady in the southern U.S. Plains on Tuesday, underpinned by easing futures prices and limited farmer selling interest, dealers said.

Growers are assessing crops after weekend rains brought needed moisture to the parched crops. More rain is expected this week.

Many growers are delaying booking further grain sales until hey have a better assessment of their crop's production potential.

K.C. May hard red winter wheat futures KWK25 last traded down 4-3/4 cents at $5.46 a bushel.
