Goldman Sachs cuts oil price forecasts for 2026
April 7 (Reuters) - Goldman Sachs has lowered its annual average price forecasts for Brent and WTI crude in 2026, saying recession risks have grown further and that OPEC+ supply may rise more than the bank had previously assumed.
"Our annual average 2026 forecasts are now $58 for Brent, and $55 for WTI, $4-5/bbl below the forwards as of Friday's close," the bank said in a note dated on Sunday.
