April 4 (Reuters) - Ukrainian state oil and gas company Naftogaz said on Friday it had imported about 800 million cubic metres of natural gas this year.
The company said in a statement that Russia carried out eight long-range attacks on its infrastructure in 2025, resulting in partial gas production losses.
"The priority is to restore damaged facilities and resume production before the beginning of the next heating season," it said.
In one of the most recent strikes, Naftogaz's gas production facilities have been damaged in the Poltava region, as well as warehouses storing equipment for the restoration and repair of wells.
Ukraine's gas imports increased almost tenfold in February after a series of Russian missile attacks on its gas production, but decreased later in March.
