JOHANNESBURG, April 4 (Reuters) - South Africa's foreign minister said on Friday that tariffs announced by U.S. President Donald Trump this week had effectively nullified benefits Sub-Saharan African countries enjoy under the African Growth and Opportunity Act (AGOA).
"The sweeping tariff measures will affect several sectors of our economy, including automotive industry, agriculture, processed food and beverage, chemical, metals and other segments of manufacturing, with implications for jobs and growth," Minister Ronald Lamola added.
