April 1 (Reuters) - U.S. cash crude prices were relatively little changed on Tuesday, as traders awaited an expected announcement on reciprocal tariffs on Wednesday from President Donald Trump.
The White House provided no details about the size and scope of tariffs that it confirmed Trump will impose on Wednesday. The tariffs could intensify a global trade war.
Still, Trump's threats to impose secondary tariffs on Russian oil and to attack Iran fueled supply worries, limiting losses.
Traders also awaited U.S. government data on crude inventories due on Wednesday.
Industry data from the American Petroleum Institute showed that U.S. crude oil inventories rose by 6 million barrels in the week ended March 28, market sources said, citing figures on Tuesday.
In refining news, a fluidic catalytic cracker at Motiva Enterprises' refinery in Port Arthur, Texas, is expected to remain shut for two weeks after a second unsuccessful restart attempt over the weekend, sources familiar with plant operations said on Monday.
