US Cash Grains-Corn basis bids steady to higher as futures decline, soy flat

CHICAGO, March 21 (Reuters) - Spot basis bids for corn delivered to interior elevators and processing plants around the U.S. Midwest were steady to higher on Friday as buyers tried to entice fresh sales from farmers, dealers said.

Spot soybean basis bids held mostly steady following increases earlier in the week at several elevators and processing plants.

*Farmer sales of both commodities remained light as prices remain near recent lows and futures prices on the Chicago Board of Trade eased on Friday.

Chicago Board of Trade May corn futures CK25 were down 6-1/4 cents at midmorning on Friday at $4.62-3/4 per bushel. May soybeans SK25 were down 8 cents at $10.05 a bushel.
