Beazley names Swiss Re's Merino to lead renewable energy in Iberia

March 18 - (The Insurer) - Beazley has bolstered its renewable energy capabilities in Iberia with the appointment of Teresa Merino as renewable energy regional manager for Spain and Portugal.
Merino joins Beazley after more than nine years at Swiss Re, where she latterly served as head of property and property energy for Iberia.
Prior to that, she held management roles at XL Group and Mapfre Global Risks.
The Lloyd's specialty carrier said it has identified an increasing demand for specialist risk management and insurance solutions in Spain and Portugal as low-carbon goals require the growth of a healthy insurance market to support renewable energy infrastructure.
