Ontario premier says he will not back down till Trump's tariffs are gone

OTTAWA, March 11 (Reuters) - The premier of Ontario, who has imposed a 25% surcharge on electricity exports to the United States, on Tuesday said he would not back down until President Donald Trump's tariffs on Canadian imports were "gone for good".
Doug Ford made his comments in a post on X shortly after Trump said he would double his planned tariff on all steel and aluminum products coming into the United States from Canada.
