Cargo ship involved in UK collision unlikely to remain afloat, UK minister says

LONDON, March 11 (Reuters) - The Solong container ship involved in Monday's collision off England's northeast coast is unlikely to remain afloat, British maritime minister Mike Kane said on Tuesday.

The government's working assumption is that one sailor from the ship, which collided with a jet fuel tanker on Monday, is dead, Kane told lawmakers in parliament.
