China's DeepSeek says advanced AI reasoning model currently unavailable

March 10 (Reuters) - China's DeepSeek said on Monday its advanced R1 artificial intelligence reasoning model was facing an outage, affecting its application programming interface (API) and web chat service.
API are strings of code that enable standardized communication, exchange of data and functionality between software components.
